Getting to know Evil Geniuses’ Dota 2 roster
Evil Geniuses, or EG for short, is one of the oldest pro gaming organizations in North America. It was founded in 1999 and since then, they have been competing at the highest level, having great players in their teams for every game they feature. Today, they are widely considered as one of the premier and most decorated gaming organizations to exist.
Evil Geniuses entered the Dota 2 scene in October 2011. Their roster at the time was composed of Amel “PlaymatE” Barudzija, Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho, Rasmus “MiSeRy” Berth Filipsen, Clinton “Fear” Loomis, and Per-Anders “Pajkatt” Olsson Lille. Since then their roster has changed many times and they have faced many obstacles.
However, they would continue to climb the ranks of the best Dota 2 teams, which culminated in their The International 2015 victory over CDEC. With that championship run, they have cemented themselves as one of the best teams in Dota 2. They’re such a successful team that even in the world of esports betting, it is usually never wrong to bet on them.
Artour “Arteezy” Babaev
Artour was born on July 1, 1996, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He played the original DotA as well as Starcraft II before becoming a professional Dota 2 player.
Arteezy is without a doubt the most famous player in Dota history. His mix of perfect mechanics, amazing efficiency, and impeccable musical taste propelled him to the top of the scene. Arteezy is back in an EG uniform for the third time, and he has a lot to prove to his massive fan base.
Abed “Abed” Yusop
Abed began playing Dota 2 in 2015, when he was only 15 years old. He qualified for three editions of The International during his stay there. He’s been on EG since 2019, and he’s proven to be an important player.
Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang
Iceiceice is a well-known DotA player who has won the ESWC Paris and CAPL. He initially pursued a StarCraft II career in 2010 and early 2011, before switching to Dota 2 in 2011.
Iceicei1ce’s interest in gaming began at a young age. With eight appearances at The International under his belt, iceiceice brings a decade of expertise to the EG Dota 2 roster.
Tal “Fly” Aizik
Fly developed an amazing career as a member of the renowned Fnatic roster that wreaked havoc on Heroes of Newerth and Dota 2. With EG, his selfless support play and in-game shot-calling create opportunities for other players to get more gold. He may be the poorest of the players, but it doesn’t make him any less lethal. He is currently the captain of Evil Geniuses.
Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen
Cr1t is one of only a few players to have won several Major titles, and he has always been recognized as a top level support by his teammates. However, it wasn’t until late 2015 that he found a team with the proper mix of quality and timing to make him a proven player on the world stage.
These players make up the current roster of Evil Geniuses. Each one of them brings impressive talent to the team. With this lineup of players, anyone into esports betting can’t go wrong choosing Evil Geniuses.
